A Turkish tourist's three-day travel diary in Beijing: Strolling through the ancient capital, unlocking the charm of Beijing.

Sept182026

I'm a Turkey travel enthusiast, and this time I joined a three-day all-inclusive tour of Beijing with two friends and family members. The tour price was very reasonable, with all-inclusive service for three days and two nights at just over 1,000 yuan per person. The pricing was transparent throughout, with no hidden costs. We were led by a professional guide, Kai, who provided attentive service and a well-planned itinerary, allowing us to easily explore Beijing and immerse ourselves in the historical heritage and vibrant urban life of this ancient capital.

2. Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Encountering the metropolis of Beijing, checking out city landmarks and night views.

We arrived safely in Beijing, officially beginning our three-day leisure trip to the capital. The city is clean and grand, with convenient and smooth transportation. Modern architecture blends seamlessly with classical landscapes, giving us a comfortable yet sophisticated first impression.

In the afternoon, we visited the Olympic Park, touring the iconic Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Their unique modern architectural designs are visually striking, showcasing Beijing's fashionable international metropolis character.

As night fell, the Olympic Sports Center area was brightly lit, creating a vibrant nighttime atmosphere. With a refreshing evening breeze, we leisurely strolled and took photos, easily starting our wonderful trip to Beijing.

Day 2: Explore the royal gardens and immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery of the Summer Palace.

The second day was a full-day tour of the Summer Palace, a royal garden where lakes and mountains complement each other, boasting beautiful scenery and being the best-preserved imperial landscape garden. Every step within the garden reveals a new vista, exuding ancient charm and showcasing the art of Chinese garden design.

We strolled along Kunming Lake, gazing at classic sights such as Longevity Hill, the Long Corridor, and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. The lake's shimmering waters and the well-arranged ancient buildings created a relaxing and unforgettable atmosphere.

A full day of leisurely garden exploration was at a comfortable pace, without the fatigue of rushing. Experiencing the grandeur and elegance of the royal garden up close allowed us to deeply appreciate the unique classical charm of Beijing.

Day 3: Stroll through the old city's hutongs and experience the authentic Beijing atmosphere.

On the last day of our trip, we ventured into Beijing's old hutongs, exploring the authentic old city atmosphere. The crisscrossing hutongs were quaint and quiet, with their gray bricks and tiles, old trees, and traditional gates, brimming with the life of old Beijing.

We browsed unique cultural and creative shops, sampled traditional Beijing snacks, and immersed ourselves in the everyday life of the city. Unlike grand historical sites, the hutongs offered a gentle and comforting experience.

Our three-day trip to Beijing combined scenic beauty, cultural richness, and the warmth of everyday life, offering a diverse and enriching experience. The modern metropolis, the imperial gardens, and the old hutongs—three distinct styles—allowed us to gain a comprehensive understanding of the vibrant city of Beijing.

• His attentive, warm, and patient service, along with his prompt handling of any issues that arose during the trip, made for an exceptional travel experience.

4. Personal Suggestion

• Beijing's scenic spots are scattered, so it's recommended to travel in a group to save travel time and make your trip more efficient and worry-free.

• most of the ancient buildings in the Imperial City are wooden structures, and open flames are strictly prohibited within the scenic areas. Please abide by the safety regulations of each scenic spot.

• Beijing is very crowded during holidays, so try to travel during off-peak hours for photos and a better experience.

• for first-time visitors to the capital, it's recommended to choose a small, all-inclusive tour with no shopping stops, allowing for a focused and immersive appreciation of historical sites and beautiful scenery.
